MULTITUDES IN REVOLT

DATE: Thursday, February 6 - noon to 1:30pm
PLACE: Library Lecture Theatre, Room LIB-72
INFO: Tonya Davidson at tonya.davidson at ryerson.ca

Speaker:
Michael Hardt, PhD - Professor of literature, Duke University / Professor of Political Literature, European Graduate School.

How has a cycle of struggles - characterized by occupations and encampments - spread through different parts of the world in the last three years? This lecture aims to grasp the importance of these global struggles and to recognize the primary challenges they face. Of particular interest, Hardt will investigate the role of organization and leadership in these "leaderless" movements.
