UofT Divest! Launch Event: Mon Oct 27, 7-9pm, OISE Auditorium
UofT Graduate students! Your tuition dollars are being invested in companies which benefit from Israel's violations of international law and human rights abuses in the Occupied Palestinian Territories. Come to a Divestment Campaign Launch Event on Oct. 27th from 7-9pm in the OISE Auditorium (252 Bloor St. W) to learn more and sign the petition.
A panel of four divestment activists from the U.S., Canada, and Palestine will discuss the importance pressuring UofT to divest.
Dr. Nahida Gordon is professor emeritus at Case Western Reserve University. She is a Palestinian American who was born in Jerusalem before 1948 and she is a Presbyterian and a member of the steering committee of the Israel/Palestine Mission Network in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

He was the Communications Officer of the Badil Resource Center for Palestinian Residency & Refugee Rights (http://www.badil.org) in Bethlehem, Palestine and the editor of its quarterly English language publication al-Majdal. He was also one of the founding organizers of the Coalition against Israeli Apartheid (http://caiaweb.org), in Toronto where he hosted Toronto's only Arab community radio show KanYaMaKan on CKLN 88.1fm, and sang with Jawqet El-Sheikh Imam, a Toronto tribute band to one of the 20th century's great artist revolutionaries.
Shourideh C. Molavi is a fifth-year PhD candidate at York University, in Toronto, Canada. For the past ten years she has worked with numerous civil society groups of the Palestinian community in Gaza City, Nablus, Jerusalem, Haifa, Ramallah and Bethlehem.
