*ON MAY 4, JOIN A DAY OF ACTION FOR CUPE 3903 AT YORK UNIVERSITY*

Since March 5, 3,000 CUPE members—teaching assistants, contract faculty 
and graduate assistants at York University—have been on strike for a 
fair contract.

/York has refused to even negotiate and is maintaining their demands for 
concessions. /

This Friday, May 4, the Ontario Federation of Labour has called out all 
affiliates to the York University picket lines for a Day of Action for 
CUPE 3903 at York University.

All affiliates and Labour Councils are being asked to support CUPE 3903 
on *all* picket lines around York University, throughout the day, from 
7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Day of Action gets underway at the York University Main Entrance 
(York Boulevard and Keele Street) at 7:30 a.m. and will continue across 
all picket lines throughout the day.

On May 4, join your fellow CUPE members from Local 3903, the OFL and 
affiliates, Labour Councils, campus and community allies on May 4. If 
you can’t be there for 7:30, multiple picket shifts are being scheduled, 
so join the lines when you are able to.

*WHEN: *May 4 (Friday), 7:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
*WHERE:* Beginning at York U. Main Entrance (York Blvd and Keele St.), 
and at *all* entrances to York.
*WHO: *CUPE 3903, Ontario Federation of Labour, OFL affiliates, Labour 
Councils, campus and community allies and supporters.
*WHY: *To support CUPE 3903 members, who have been on strike for nine 
weeks against a publicly-supported institution that /refuses to even 
negotiate/
