Dear colleagues,

 

Given the devastating impact of the pandemic on essential workers and their families, many who are marginalized and racialized, I am writing to urge you to add your names to the statement below that was drafted by historians at the University of Toronto demanding better protection and paid sick leave to essential workers. As the letter states, “economies recover, the dead do not”. Please share widely.
