Dear Toronto and area friends and supporters,

This is an urgent action alert calling for supporters to attend the bail hearing of Dr. Hassan Diab

    Thursday, June 9 ·
    9:30am - 12:30pm
Motions Court, Ontario Court of Appeals
130 Queen Street West (Queen and University) - Toronto

WE CALL UPON our supporters to join us at the Ontario Court of Appeals to attend the bail hearing of Dr. Hassan Diab.

A LARGE TURNOUT can make a difference in whether Dr. Diab is freed on bail or stays in jail for months or even years while the Canadian legal process grinds on.

Hassan's bail hearing will take place on Thursday, June 9.
    ...
The courthouse is located at 130 Queen Street (intersection w/ University).

There is no exact start time the hearing. Motions court begins at 9:30 AM and cases are heard according to the order in which they appear on the court's roster.

The hearing itself is expected to last no more than one hour.

The bail will be argued by Marlys Edwardh (the same lawyer who will eventually argue Hassan's appeal).

A number of Hassan's Ottawa-based supporters will be in Toronto for the hearing. We will wait at the courthouse until the hearing starts and then enter the courtroom when our case is called. Anyone who would like to wait with us there and attend court is heartily welcome to join us.
