FYI. A forward from Independent Jewish Voices.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Hi all,

On Feb 22nd the McGill University BDS Action Network passed a BDS
resolution at the undergraduate student union a few days ago. The
motion is now being sent for ratification online to members of the
union by Feb 26th. Zionist groups are mobilizing really hard
accusing them of being anti-Semitic and its working. Donors are
threatening to pull funding from the University over this vote. As
well, the Canadian Parliament (on the same day) voted by a wide
margin to condemn the growing BDS movement, which is garnering new
outlets across the country to report on the movement in a negative
way. The student movement in Canada working on BDS convened for a
meeting today from across the country, and we are very concerned
about what is going on as it could have implications for the entire
student movement in the country, and perhaps the movement here more
    broadly

We've drafted a solidarity letter that we are hoping to get signed
from organizations and individuals locally, nationally and globally.
Please consider endorsing and signing this petition in support of
BDS and circulate widely to your networks everywhere.
